Cummins - DAILY & MONTHLY INSPECITON
The following lists all common Daily and Monthly Inspections that should be performed on Cummins Engines and DPF/SCR Systems.
For Pre-2010 engines, discard all maintenance items relating to the SCR System (I.E. SCR and DEF items).

Fuel Water Separator (drain)

Charge Air Cooler and Tubing, signs of wetness from Oil Entry from CCV System or Turbo Oil Consumption

Coolant Quality and Level

Air Tanks (Drain Water - Inspect for high Oil Blow-by exiting the Purge Valve)

Diesel Exhaust Fluid Contamination

Turbocharger Air Intake, CAC, & Boost Side of CAC

Crankcase Breather Tubing

Engine Mounts & Mounting Bolts (Cracks? Loose?)

Wiring Harnesses and all Tubing (secured properly?)
DPF/SCR INSPECTIONS:

DEF Fluid Contamination

Excessive DPF Active REGENs

DEF Fluid Crystallization build up near the DEF Nozzle or SCR Catalyst

Diesel Fuel Leaks at the DPF Fuel Injector (where applies)

Wiring Harness (secured away from HOT SURFACES?)
