The following lists all common Daily and Monthly Inspections that should be performed on MaxxForce Engines and DPF Systems.

Accessory Belt

Cooling Fan & Shroud

Engine Noise
DPF DAILY INSPECTIONS:

Exhaust Leaks or Damage to Exhaust System or Mounting Hardware

Wetness at Exhaust Flanges from Oil/Fuel from engine (due to elevated Oil Levels from Cylinder WashOut)

ENGINE INSPECTIONS:

Engine Air Filter Indictor
-
Charge Air Cooler and Tubing, signs of wetness from Oil Entry from CCV System or Turbo Oil Consumption

Coolant Quality and Level
-
Radiator Blockage or Leaks
-
Turbocharger Air Intake, CAC, & Boost Side of CAC
-
Turbocharger Actuator (pneumatic) - (can be tested via N.E.D. using the Air Management System Test)
-
Exhaust Valve Actuator (pneumatic) - (can be tested via N.E.D. suing the Air Management System Test)
-
Crankcase Breather Tubing (Excessive Oil bleeding through rubber hoses or flanges?)
-
Engine Mounts & Mounting Bolts (Cracks? Loose?)
DPF MONTHLY INSPECTIONS:
-
Excessive DPF Active REGENs (pre the operator, or via N.E.D. Diagnostic Software)
-
Exhaust Leaks
-
Blue or White Smoke exiting DPF due to Oil Entry or excessive Diesel Fuel Consumption
